Program Description

Internal medicine deals with the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of illness in adults, spanning the heart, lungs, kidneys, digestive and hormonal systems. Its centre of gravity is clinical reasoning: reading symptoms and test results to work out what is actually wrong. Graduates often work in hospital and clinic settings, specialty practice, teaching and clinical research.
