Program Description

Orchestral conducting trains musicians to lead an ensemble: score study, gesture and baton technique, rehearsal method, balance and interpretation, and the ear needed to hear an entire ensemble texture. Learning happens in front of players. Graduates often conduct ensembles, direct music programmes, teach, or work in arts organisations.
