Program Description

Political history traces how power has been won, used and challenged over time: states and empires, revolutions and reforms, parties, ideologies and popular movements. Students work with primary sources and learn to build careful arguments about causes and consequences. Graduates go into research and teaching, journalism, policy, archives and heritage, publishing and public service.
