Program Description

Agroecology applies ecological thinking to farming, treating soils, crops, water, biodiversity and farming communities as a connected system. It combines field science with questions of food security, livelihoods and land use. Graduates often work in sustainable agriculture, rural development, environmental organisations, advisory services and research.
