Program Description

Strategic studies examines how states and other actors pursue security: the causes of armed conflict, deterrence, alliances, military power and the relationship between force and policy. Students analyse historical cases alongside current crises and debate competing theories. Graduates often work in defence and security analysis, diplomacy, risk consulting, research institutes and journalism.
