Program Description

Why violent conflict begins, how it persists and what helps societies recover are the central questions here. Students examine mediation, negotiation, transitional justice, humanitarian response and reconciliation, drawing on politics, sociology, law and history. Graduates often join humanitarian and development organisations, mediation and advocacy bodies, policy analysis and research.
