Program Description

Conducting is the art of leading an ensemble: studying scores in depth, shaping tempo, balance and phrasing through gesture, and running rehearsals that turn individual players or singers into a coherent whole. Musicianship, ear training and repertoire knowledge underpin it. Conductors work with orchestras, choirs, opera, bands and education programmes.
