Program Description

Naval architecture is the design of ships and floating structures: hull shape, stability, strength, resistance and the safety of a vessel in a seaway. Students combine fluid mechanics and structural analysis with computer-aided design. Graduates often work in shipbuilding and design offices, offshore energy, marine surveying and consultancy.
