Program Description

The sociology of science treats scientific knowledge itself as a social activity: how laboratories work, how consensus and controversy form, how funding and institutions shape what gets studied. Students read closely and carry out empirical case studies. Graduates often move into research, science policy, communication, higher education or roles bridging technical and public worlds.
