MSc Literature Culture and Society

Program Description

The sociology of culture asks how meaning is produced and circulated — through art, media, taste, ritual, religion and everyday habits — and how cultural life is bound up with power and inequality. Students read theory and conduct empirical research. Graduates often enter cultural organisations, media, research, policy and teaching.
