Energy economics examines how energy is priced, traded, invested in and consumed, and how markets, regulation and technological change respond to scarcity, risk and environmental pressure. Statistical and modelling skills sit alongside economic theory. Graduates often work in utilities, trading, consultancy, financial analysis, regulation and research.
