Program Description

The sociology of peace studies the social conditions that make conflict more or less likely, and what allows communities to rebuild afterwards. It looks at violence, inequality, reconciliation, justice and the movements and institutions that work for peace, using social theory and research methods. Graduates often work in humanitarian organisations, research, policy or education.
