Sociological research gets put to work here on practical problems in communities, organisations and public services. Students learn to design studies, gather and interpret data, and turn findings into recommendations that non-specialists can act on. Graduates often work in research, programme evaluation, social policy, community development and the charitable sector.
MSc Robotics Programming and Automation
Robotics brings together mechanical design, electronics, control and software to build machines that sense and act in the physical world. Evidence handling, analytical chemistry and biology, and careful neutral reporting are central. Graduates often work in forensic laboratories, investigative support and analytical testing.
MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering: January Start
Electrical engineering deals with electricity and electronics in all their uses: circuits, signals, power generation and distribution, control systems, communications and embedded devices. Theory, mathematics and laboratory work run together. Graduates often work in energy and power, electronics and semiconductors, telecommunications, automation, transport and product development.
