World Englishes studies the many forms English takes as it is used, adapted and reshaped by different speech communities. Work here covers pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and attitudes to variation, alongside questions of identity, power and standardisation. Graduates often go into language teaching, publishing, editing, research and communication roles.
