Program Description

Literature is the study of written works — poetry, fiction, drama and essays — and of how they make meaning, carry ideas and speak to their historical moment. Close reading, comparison and critical theory shape the work, alongside sustained writing. Graduates often move into publishing, teaching, journalism, communications and cultural work.
