MA Ethnochoreology

Program Description

Ethnochoreology is the study of dance as cultural practice — how communities move, why particular forms carry meaning, and how movement traditions are transmitted and change. Students learn observation, notation, fieldwork and analysis alongside dance history. Graduates often work in cultural heritage, arts programming, teaching, archives and research.
