Nipissing University is a public higher education establishment in Ontario, Canada. Since becoming an independent university in 1992, NiNipissing has served the Northern Ontario community. In addition, the institution is recognised for academic and research excellence and a positive student experience. Today, Nipissing offers a variety of courses and degrees, from diplomas to postgraduate qualifications. However, the establishment specialises in undergraduate programs in various fields. Student Life On campus, students will find a welcoming and laid-back community. The establishment promotes a diverse and civil community, which creates a safe and relaxed environment for all students. In addition, there are plenty of activities and events to enjoy whilst studying at Nipissing. The Residents' Councils regularly organise events like potluck suppers, skating parties, the winter carnival, athletic events, movie nights, and coffee houses. In addition, students can participate in intramural sports or join one of the 25 clubs. Located between Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake near the City of North Bay, Nipissing is surrounded by natural beauty. As a result, students can head off campus to explore protected natural areas, heritage forest parks and historical sites. Furthermore, the two lakes host various exercise and water sports activities, including biking, fishing spots and boating. In North Bay, students will also find a laid-back community that is welcoming of students. Here further sites and activities are available, such as art galleries, local festivals and public beaches. But for a larger city experience, Toronto and Ottawa are approximately three and half hours' drive away.
